Maps
Maps are areas of land that are deemed of biodiversity interest. They include all protected areas such as National Parks,Nature Reserves and also Private Game Reserves.
South Africa
In South Africa over 500 maps a have already been created and as the project expands to include other local authorities many more hundres will be added.
Becuase maps are based upon ownership any sighting made within the bounds of a map is past to its Biodiversity Manager for validation and before data on certain species can be released to the general public. See the section on Sensitive Species
Europe
Maps are currently not available for Europe. But users can create their own 'My Patch'
